The REGINA pants are a whimsical addition to your wardrobe for days when you want to “present externally as a beautiful, put-together butterfly that knows how to change a tire and do its own taxes, but internally feel like a cocoon that just wants to be cosy and warm and left alone”. It is a simple pattern without zippers and buttons and it invites you to experiment with mixing different fabrics, adding ruffles and gussets.
Joanne Au is a Malaysian hobby sewist based in Aotearoa, New Zealand. She believes that life is a brief, unstoppable hurtle into the void, and all things should accordingly be as joyous, stupid, and fun as possible.

Fit and size:
Choose your size based on your hip circumference. Add a recommended positive ease of 3–5.5"/8–14 cm. make sure your hip circumference is at most 5"/12 cm larger than the stretched waist circumference.
Kaisa Alingué is 67"/169 cm tall and wears striped REGiNA with gussets and ruffles in size 3. Kreettaliisa Rahkamaa- Alingué is 67"/170 cm tall and wears the red/terracotta REGiNA in size 4.
Fabric recommendations:
Choose woven non-stretch fabrics, ex- perimenting with structure and drape. REGINA plays well with lots of differ- ent fabrics. If you would like to quilt your own fabric, choose a low loft natu- ral fibre batting.
The sample without the gussets is made from “Diamond Quilted Organic Jersey” in terracotta (93% organic cotton and 7% recycled polyester, both GOTS certified, 9.44 oz/320 gsm) from Un chat sur un fil. The stripy sample with gussets is made from reused polycotton fabric (4.13 oz/140 gsm) from the de- signer’s stash.
Files:
A4 (home printing) and A0 (copy shop printing) PDF files with sizes nested. Sewing instructions are in a separate PDF file.

After purchasing, you will receive a link to download the PDF files. There are no delivery charges for the digital patterns, as they are delivered automatically via email immediately after purchase. PDF patterns are only eligible for return and refund if the provided download links have not been used. If the download links have been used, the product will not be refunded.
