CLOUD is a versatile ruffle top and dress design inviting you to play with adding and removing tiers. You can make a top by only attaching the first tier, a midi dress with two tiers, or a floor-length gown byadding a third tier. CLOUD is the perfect pattern for beginners – you’ll learn how to sew a neckline facing and how to become a pro at making gathers.
Jasmin Henzi is a Swiss communications specialist, new mother, and independent pattern designer. She is the creative mastermind behind the Sewing Patterns by Masin. Besides sewing, her passions include tennis, black tea with milk and honey, quiet early-morning hours, and long afternoon walks in the sunshine.

Fit and size:
Choose your size based on your bust measurement. This dress is an oversized look. The recommended positive ease is 2–3"/5–8 cm at the bust.
Anastasia Lapsuy is 56"/142 cm tall and wears the CLOUD top in size 5 and Ajak Majok is 66"/168 cm tall and wears the CLOUD midi dress in size 2.
Fabric recommendations:
CLOUD works best in non-stretch, light to medium weight woven fabrics. Jasmin prefers a stiff cotton fabric for this piece as it can hold its voluminous shape. Choose a rayon/viscose fabric if you want a more romantic, flowy look. You can also make the CLOUD dress in a sheer fabric such as chiffon and wear it over a simple slip dress for a more elegant look.
The gingham sample dress is made from “Garden Party Olive” (52% linen/48% cotton, 6.19 oz/210 gsm) and the petrol blue sample is made from “Organic Cotton Poplin Diesel” (3.7 oz/125 gsm). Both fabrics are by Merchant & Mills from Lilly Paris.
Files:
A4 (home printing) and A0 (copy shop printing) PDF files with sizes nested. Sewing instructions are in a separate PDF file.

After purchasing, you will receive a link to download the PDF files. There are no delivery charges for the digital patterns, as they are delivered automatically via email immediately after purchase. PDF patterns are only eligible for return and refund if the provided download links have not been used. If the download links have been used, the product will not be refunded.
