The SAUNA robe is designed for a neverending feeling of comfort and luxury. The hem and sleeves come in maxi and cropped lengths and are easy to adjust. The long belt pieces can be sewn in, or you can make a separate belt. All seams are finished with flat-felled and French seams for a neat look, but you can always adjust the process to suit your skills and needs. This pattern is beginner friendly, beautiful, and easy to make.

The SUNDAY trousers are a collaboration between TAUKO Magazine and the founder of the Terhen brand, Terhi Ruutu. Terhi has a background in international marketing and concept design, but she is also a trained sauna therapist and masseuse. In 2021, she founded Terhen, a brand and concept born out of a passion to keep the unique Finnish sauna tradition alive and to bring natural well-being into people’s everyday lives.

Fabric recommendations:
Choose medium to lightweight woven or knit fabrics. The robe works with jerseys as well as knit merino wool, soft cotton and linen, or draping viscose and Tencel. Bold print fabrics are also a great option for this simple design. The white cropped sample is made from “Merino Fine Jersey” (100% merino wool, 4.72 oz/160 gsm) and the marine blue sample is made from “Tencina Marine” (100% Lyocell, 4.87 oz/165 gsm). The maxi version is made from “Michel” linen (100% linen, 3.69 oz/125 gsm). All fabrics are by Anita Pavani Stoffe.
