NOE is a comfortable and accommodating mu‘umu‘u dress for a variety of body shapes. The mu‘umu‘u is a loose garment with Hawaiian origins. Born and raised in Hawaii, Rumer Ajifu wanted to highlight the culture she grew up in with this design. You can sew your mu‘umu‘u in two different lengths, with or without ruffles. The design has a yoke, an inverted pleat at the back, and three pleats at each front to create a lovely amount of ease. It also features side seam pockets to hold your treasures and buttons at the front.

Fabric Recommendations:
This design works best in light to medium- weight woven fabrics. Consider using cotton, linen, rayon, or viscose.

The long dress sample with ruffles is made in fine off-white organic linen (100% linen, 4.72 oz/160 gsm). The short dress sample is made in organic cotton crepe in the colour “limelight” (100% cotton, 5.16 oz/175 gsm). Both fabrics are by Ecotex.
