LUMI embodies the feeling of slipping into your favourite oversized jumper, a layer that can be worn with anything. The LUMI jumper features batwing sleeves, front pockets, and bias detail on the back. The stripe detail lends a sporty vibe to the design and offers opportunities to play with colour blocking and unconventional patterns. While originally designed for knit fabrics, it seamlessly transitions to wovens. This versatile piece is both easy to create and easy to wear and it celebrates the joys of everyday life and the simple pleasures of lounging in comfortable clothing.
Mila Moisio is TAUKO’s editor-in-chief and co-founder. The first iteration of the LUMI jumper was lovingly stitched by Mila in soft organic cotton plush for her partner. It quickly became a wardrobe staple, prized for its oversized design and carefree spirit.
From each pattern purchase, we give 50% to the designer. Our goal is to support independent creatives and promote a democratic and open society.

Fabric recommendations:
Choose medium to heavy-weight knits or jerseys for sporty and activewear versions. Use plush fabric for greater comfort and warmth. To create a casual look, choose a medium-weight linen. Choose double gauze for a cosy feel and draping fabrics such as silk or Tencel for an elegant look. The green sample is made in “Unbrushed Organic Cotton Sweat” in shades of green (100% organic cotton, 9.73 oz/330 gsm) and the purple sample is made in “Brushed Terry GOTS Organic Cotton Purple Potion” (100% organic cotton, 8.55 oz/290 gsm). The neckline rib and the bias binding are made using “Rib 1x1 stretch GOTS Organic Cotton”. All fabrics by Ecological Textiles.Fabric requirements:
