Helen Wilkinson is a sewing pattern designer from Vancouver Island, Canada. She loves to design playful patterns that are fun to sew and even more fun to wear. Helen enjoys apron-inspired garments and has always had an affinity for pinafores and overalls. INGRID captures this inspiration with a long or short denim pinafore with comfy oversized pockets and optional overalls hardware. INGRID has a 90s flair and a bookish charm. In fact, you could probably fit a paperback in those pockets! This pattern works great in denim or other structured medium to heavy-weight fabrics.
From each pattern purchase, we give 50% to the designer. Our goal is to support independent creatives and promote a democratic and open society.

Fabric Recommendations:
INGRID works best in medium to heavy-weight non-stretch fabrics such as denim, canvas, or cotton twill. Choose a fabric weight of at least 6 oz/200 gsm and up to 14 oz/475 gsm. The long sample is made in washed hemp denim in indigo (100% European hemp, 10.2 oz/345 gsm). The short sample is made in natural hemp denim (100% European hemp, 10.2 oz/345 gsm). All fabrics by Ecological Textiles. The hardware for the long version is made using the “Dungaree Kit” by Merchant & Mills. Choose a lightweight cotton bias tape for the finishes.Fabric Requirements:
