The FLING trousers offer a chic twist on loungewear, perfect for those embracing the athleisure trend.
Unable to find a stylish pair of tracksuit bottoms that could also double as comfortable and fashionable trousers, Stina Dahlin created the sewing pattern for FLING. The design can be sewn as trousers in strong, sturdy jersey fabrics such as Ponte di Roma, or as yoga pants in soft cotton jersey, offering versatility for any occasion. Whether in elegant black, grey, beige, or vibrant patterns, Stina hopes that FLING will become one of the most versatile and useful pieces in your wardrobe.
Stina Dahlin is a fashion designer and pattern maker who has lived in southern Sweden for many years, but is originally from Stockholm. She has worked with both small and large clothing manufacturers and now runs the pattern company Svenska Mönster AB. Drawing inspiration from street fashion, she often looks to a variety of sources, including students and pensioners.
From each pattern purchase, we give 50% to the designer. Our goal is to support independent creatives and promote a democratic and open society.

Fabric recommendations:
Choose medium-weight knit or woven stretch fabrics – for example, 95% cotton, 5% Lycra. Soft sweatshirt fabrics with stretch, Ponte di Roma, cotton jersey, or other jersey fabrics with at least 5% stretch are great for this design. Keep in mind that different types of knit/jersey fabrics can give different results in terms of size. Also, remember to pre-wash fabrics that may shrink before cutting them. For the sporty sample with cuffs, we worked with a green “Nicky Velour” (100% organic cotton, 8.26 oz/280 gsm). The elegant version is made in oak-coloured “Knitted Hemp” (100% hemp, 9.73 oz/330 gsm). Both fabrics by Ecological Textiles.Fabric requirements:
